Head of NRWO's Message on the Occasion of Second Death Anniversary of the Green Martyrs of Zagros
Dr. Abbas-Ali Nobakht, Acting Head of NRWO issued a message of condolences on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Green Martyrs of Zagros including Mohammad Javad Mokhtari, Yasin Karimi, Balal Amini, Mokhtar Khandani and Ehsan Azizi.
3 July 2022 - The message of Acting Head of the Natural Resources and Watershed management Organization (NRWO) is as follows:
In the name of God, the Beneficent the Merciful
The hot days of July, 2020 are reminder of bitter days for the lovers of natural resources and the environment of the country. In these warm days, Mohammad Javad Mokhtari, a young volunteer ranger from Mamasani County - Fars province, Yasin Karimi, Balal Amini, Mokhtar Khandani, and Ehsan Azizi, nature-loving youths of Kermanshah province, volunteered to conserve nature against wildfire that was destroying the forests of their land.
In an unequal battle with the wildfire, they offered their dear lives and left sadness in the hearts of the lovers of the country's natural resources and environment.
I offer my deepest condolences to their dear families and all lovers of natural resources and the environment on the occasion of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of these beloved young people, who took part in firefighting operations in Zagros forests in 2020 summer. May Almighty God bless them and grant them peace.
